Young Ross has stars in his eyes as he wins title

PUPILS and staff at Parkhead Primary School recently performed in a 'Stars in their Eyes' end of term concert.

The auditions were open to all primary four to primary seven pupils and nine of the acts made it through to the final which was held on the evening of Thursday, June 11.

Teacher Catriona Livingstone said: “The concert was a tremendous success and a credit to all the confident, talented young performers who attend the school.

“It was a great way to end a busy year. “The success of the night was mainly due to the enthusiasm of the pupils along with support from all staff, the parent council and local businesses.”

The winning act was chosen by a panel of judges who have all given their support in some way to the school throughout the year.

The competition was tough but in the end Ross Laird from P6a won with his stunning version of 'You make me feel like dancing' by Leo Sayer.

A group of talented teachers were a surprise add on to the bill with U tube, Parkhead stars in their eyes Abba and the Pointer Sisters all performing.
