YOUNGSTERS will have the chance to sample some of the best entertainment on offer this autumn at Livingston’s Howden Park Centre.
The fun begins on Saturday, October 10, with the arrival of ‘We Dance, Wee Groove’ a disco for everyone under five.
It’s a chance for funky young things to get on down and enjoy fabulous tunes from around the world. Dancers will help everyone to get physical whether it’s wiggling, waddling, crawling, rolling, jumping, jiggling and running around.
Two days later the fun goes on when M6 theatre company arrives in West Lothian to present ‘One Little Word’, a brand new play for people aged three and over.
‘One Little Word’ is beautiful and gently story about friendship, exploring and dressing up and taking turns, and what happens when one person wants to be the only captain of the ship.
This captivating play contains only one spoken word.
In November one to four year olds can join ‘Mini Music Makers’ and enjoy singing and making all sorts of music on Friday mornings.
Culmination of the very small people’s autumn social calendar is the first Christmas show in the new Howden Park Centre.
‘Snow Baby’ is not a pantomime, it is a magical, enchanting tale of a Christmas wish come true created by Catherine Wheels Theatre Company especially for children aged three and over and their families.
Facilities for young children at Howden Park Centre include booster seats in the theatre, a healthy children’s menu the bistro and a small play area with books and toys.
There are steps in all toilets to help little ones reach the sinks (and their own fun handwash), baby changing spaces and, in case of unexpected emergencies, complimentary nappy bags.
‘We Dance, Wee Groove’ is on Saturday, October 10, at 11am, ‘One Little Word’ is on Monday, October 12 at 10.30am and 1.30pm, ‘Mini Music Makers’ are weekly from November 6 and ‘Snow Baby’ runs from Wednesday December 16 to Thursday December 31.
