Homeless charity in urgent need of emergency staffing

OPEN Door, the charity for homeless young people, is having difficulty recruiting relief staff for its emergency hostel and outreach services.

Now the charity is launching a frantic search in the West Lothian area to attract new members of staff.

Director of Open Door Leslie Gregory explained: "We are offering a competitive package but we are not attracting applicants.

“Open Door urgently need staff to help us with cover for the emergency hostel and outreach services and we are particularly looking for people who can cover shifts, weekend and sleepover work.

“Open Door need people who have experience of residential care and/or homelessness.

"Experience is desirable but not essential so it might be an ideal opportunity for newly qualified people who are looking to gain experience."
