Missing man’s body discovered in river

POLICE have confirmed that a body recovered from the River Almond has been identified as that of missing man, John Boylan.

John (22) of Gareloch Way in Whitburn, was last seen by his family on September 2 when he had visited his dad at Loch Maree Way in Whitburn.

He was found on September 26 and police confirmed his identity this week.

Officers and John’s family thanked everyone who helped during the search.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding John’s death, and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
