Thieves target business

THOUSANDS of pounds worth of property were stolen from a business in Broxburn earlier this week.

Sometime between 2pm on Sunday and 8am on Monday, the office at Drumshoreland House, was broken into and nine laptop computers, seven computers, monitors and other computer equipment was taken, along with five large screen plasma televisions and other equipment.

The value of the haul is estimated to be around £20,000.

A car was stolen from a West Lothian village.

Between 2.45pm on Sunday and 11am on Monday, a silver Ford Focus was taken from outside a house in Harthill Road, Fauldhouse

Copper wire was taken by thieves during a raid on the water treatment work in East Calder.

The site, at Almond Terrace, was broken into between 4pm on Friday and 7am on Monday and about 362kg of copper wire valued at around £1500 was stolen.
