A trick or treat will guarantee wagging tails

DOG welfare experts are urging local people to support their campaign to give the pooches in their care a Hallowe’en treat.

Staff at Dogs Trust West Calder are getting into the spirit of Hallowe’en this year and are appealing for local dog lovers to send in “Tricks or Treats” for the 90 rescue dogs at the centre currently looking for new homes.

Susan Tonner, Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming Centre manager, said: “We aim to make the rescue dogs’ stay at the rehoming centre as comfortable as possible and are hoping that kind members of the public will send in doggy tricks (games) or treats to keep them busy.”

If local people are able to donate a trick or treat, or are interested in offering a home, to a Dogs Trust West Calder resident please contact the rehoming centre on 01506 873459 or visit at Dogs Trust West Calder, Bentyhead, West Calder, EH55 8LE.
