Bathgate building vandalised with Nazi swastika

RACIST yobs who dubbed a swastika on the side of a Bathgate block of flats have been slammed as “idiots”.

The Nazi symbol, accompanied with the letters BMP, was sprayed on a first floor balcony of flats at the end of Marjoribanks Street on the side facing Hopetoun Street.

West Lothian Council moved quickly to remove the offensive graffiti after the Courier alerted them to it.

And Labour MSP Mary Mulligan condemned those responsible, saying there was no place for them in West Lothian.

She added: “I am absolutely outraged these people would come to Bathgate, a town known for its warm welcome.

“I think everyone in the area would feel that there is no place for these idiots within our communities.”
