WEST Lothian Council have apologised to Bathgate residents who use the Council Information Service (CIS) centre at Lindsay House for the change in the date of their move.
The CIS centre will now open for business on Monday, November 23 at their new temporary home at 5-9 Edinburgh Road, Bathgate, which is sited across from the Fairway and next to the BP garage.
The office will close at 4pm on November 19 and will be shut the following day to allow staff to decant.
Apologising for the confusion, the council’s head of customer service explained: “We have had to have work carried out at our temporary new office and the delay has been caused by our contractors experiencing unforeseeable delays.
“Our staff in Bathgate are committed to providing excellent customer service and they are upset that customers have been confused by the different dates.
“We would like to stress that it was completely outwith our control and we are very sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused our customers in Bathgate.
“Staff look forward to seeing customers at the new office from November 23.”
