THERE was a double celebration at the wedding of Alex and Tracey Reynolds from Livingston recently.
The couple were the first to tie the knot in the newly-opened Livingston Civic Centre and West Lothian’s provost Tom Kerr met up with the happy couple following the ceremony to congratulate them.
He said: "I was delighted to be able to congratulate the first couple to be married in the civic centre. It is a red-letter day for Mr and Mrs Reynolds and another major milestone for our fantastic new building."
Registrar Margaret MacMillan said: "I'm thrilled to have been able to perform the first marriage at the new Civic Centre, it was a great privilege.
“Our new location now also means that we are able to accept bookings for weddings on the first Saturday of the month for the first time.”
Mrs Tracey Reynolds added: "Being the first wedding made it extra special for us. It was a really nice place to hold our wedding, and the ceremony was lovely."
