CALLOUS thieves stole Poppy Appeal cash in a theft at a local church.
At sometime between 9.45am and 10.15am on Sunday, the charity box was stolen from St Ninian’s Craigmailen Parish Church, Falkirk Road, Linlithgow.
It is not known how much was in the collection box, but the theft has been condemned by police who are calling for information on those involved.
A police spokesman said: “We are looking for witnesses in this despicable offence, which has not only targeted a church but also a very deserving charity.”
