YOUNGSTERS from across Bathgate met to remember the fallen heroes of the world’s conflicts on Armistice Day.
School pupils from the town gathered at the war memorial on Mid Street to pay their respects to the men and women who gave their lives in two world wars and in various conflicts in the years since.
They stood small wooden crosses in the grass to symbolise fallen members of the armed forces during the ceremony yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
The children were joined by members of the public and ex-servicemen and women, as well as members of the Royal British Legion, at the service conducted by Rev Duncan Shaw.
