COUNCIL staff are set to complete their move to the new civic centre in Livingston within weeks.
Staff have already moved from Lindsay House in Bathgate, and West Lothian House, Livingston, to the new West Lothian Civic Centre.
The remaining teams from Lammermuir House, Livingston, are due to move to the new building by the end of the month.
West Lothian Council’s Chief Executive Alex Linkston said: “The move from the three buildings mark the end of an era and the start of an exciting new way of working which places partnership and seamless service for our customers at its heart.
“Residents can also look forward to a new state-of-the-art building to replace Lindsay House, and will bring opportunities to create efficient services through joined-up and partnership working.”
The Civic Centre is thought to be the biggest partnership of its kind in the UK.
The Civic Centre itself is home to:
Divisional Police Headquarters;
Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Court complex:
Council Headquarters:
The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service;
The Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration;
Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service and
West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership.
