TWO nurseries have been given a gold star following an inspection by education watchdogs.
Inspectors visited Inveralmond and Bathgate Early Years Centres in September and have highlighted a number of key strengths and examples of good practice.
Bathgate received praise for its good practice in working with grandparents, whilst Inveralmond was singled out for their involvement with parents in supporting children’s learning from birth onwards and using the Charter Mark scheme to improve service standards.
At the time of Inveralmond’s inspection the roll was 71, at the time of Bathgate’s inspection the roll was 92.
Executive councillor Andrew Miller commented: “These are both extremely positive reports and staff and parents at both centres should be pleased with the results.
“The high number of strengths highlighted in both reports is impressive.”
