Santa is off and running for county charity event

RUNNERS can swap their trainers for tinsel next month and take part in a two kilometre Santa Fun Run.

Following the success of the West Lothian Half Marathon, local organisers led by Lindsay Colman have arranged a festive fun run for local charities in Livingston on Sunday, December 6.

Every entrant will receive a free Santa suit and medal and children will get goody bags.

Organisers are trying to encourage families in particular to participate in the fun run.

The festive run is being supported by Livingston MSP Angela Constance, she said: “I am delighted to offer my support to this fun run as I am sure it will raise a lot of money for local charities.

“It is important that we remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves particularly at Christmas.

“I was pleased that after the success of the West Lothian Half Marathon organisers have arranged this family friendly fun run.”

Information on how to enter the run can be found on www.westlothianrun.co.uk/santa.
