THE world is a better place with Susan Boyle.
That was the verdict of the ITV show dedicated to the singer, which aired on Sunday.
In it stars including Simon Cowell, Ant and Dec and Amanda Holden said Susan had cheered up the nation during gloomy times and given others hope.
They said Susan was an inspiration to everybody and showed anyone could achieve their dream regardless of where they lived or what they looked like.
You know you’ve made it when you have an audience of 10 million hanging on your every word and during I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story, viewers were treated to a moving rendition of ‘Cry Me and River’ and a song written especially for her.
Susan said she thoroughly enjoyed making the show.
She told the Courier: “It was very well put together and very professional.
“It’s something I would certainly do again.”
Viewers were taken on a candid journey from her home in Blackburn to New York, where she took time out to meet some of her devoted fans.
In tear jerking interviews Susan spoke about being bullied and losing her beloved mother Bridget and seeking solace in her music.
But it wasn’t just her fans who were in for a treat during the hour-long show, Susan was moved to tears too when she was presented with a triple platinum disc from host Piers Morgan for selling one million copies of her debut album.
She also fulfilled a life-long ambition and sung a duet of ‘I Know Him So Well’ with her idol Elaine Paige.
And she was also delighted when heartthrob Donny Osmond visited her during her stay in America.
