CAT LOVERS throughout the West Lothian area are being reminded that this weekend will give them the chance to meet some of the county’s neediest moggies.
Volunteers from West Lothian Cat Protection will be holding their next cat rehoming day on Saturday, February 6 from 10am to 12.30pm in the community centre on Marjoribanks Street in Bathgate.
Some of the cats currently in the branch’s care will be there on the day as will volunteers from the branch.
So if now is the right time for you to invite a feline into your family, why not come along as the right cat could be right there waiting for you?
And by taking a look at the group’s website to see all the cats in care, local people can learn a bit about them, and on the day they can chat to the fosterers and volunteers to find out more.
If you can't wait for the day, you can fill in an online form to note your interest.
If you come along to the rehoming day volunteers will be on hand to take your details and then a home visit will be arranged.
All of the cats in the branch’s care will have been fully vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
People can also ask about the starter kits the branch has for sale at the very reasonable price of £40.
This includes a covered litter tray, 15 litre bag of litter, cat carrier, and three stainless steel bowls.
If you do rehome a cat from the branch you also get four weeks of free pet insurance with the opportunity to carry this on at a reasonable price.
Just ask at the rehoming day or mention this in your online form if you want to know more about the rehoming programme and support which is available.
Of course if you come along to the event there will be lots more going on, including homebaking made by the volunteers for sale, and a tombola.
All proceeds on the day will be used within the branch and help with essential vet care, heating and maintenance of the outdoor foster pens, and much more.
A spokesperson for the branch said that they are hoping for a really good turnout on the day.
