BARNARDO’S Scotland’s shop in Bathgate is desperately short of volunteers and is appealing to local people to apply to fill the positions.
Volunteering is a great way to put spare time to good use.
The shop, at 35 North Bridge Street, Bathgate, is appealing for volunteers who are able to commit a few hours each week.
The role is ideal for anyone with time on their hands from students to parents and retired people or anyone who is unemployed looking for work experience.
The work is varied, tasks include sorting and pricing stock, preparing window displays or serving customers.
Fran Croal, shop manager, said “It’s a great opportunity for someone to learn a new skill, and working in the shop really makes you feel part of the community.
“No previous experience is required as full training will be provided; a good sense of humour does help though.”
Anyone interested in volunteering at the shop should speak to Fran Croal, 35 North Bridge Street or call 01506 656577.
