A POPULAR online business magazine is celebrating its anniversary this month.
Business Connections has been delivering news updates to the West Lothian business community and beyond for the past five years.
Produced by the council’s Economic Development Service, the new issue will be the service’s 60th bulletin for business.
The monthly update gives a summary of the latest business news and developments in West Lothian.
It also provides a handy planner for events and training workshops and information about new business support initiatives.
Executive councillor for development and transport, Martyn Day, said: “It is e-mailed to more than 5000 contacts, including local businesses and those with an interest in the local economy.
“It is a very popular resource and a survey carried out recently has established that the vast majority of readers find it useful.”
Business services manager, Sue Bedford-Visser, added: “Businesses have told us that of most interest to them is news about other local businesses and new developments in the area.
“We are always pleased to hear from local firms and to publish their good news on the website and in the e-zine.
“We were pleased to learn that some 56 per cent of readers forward the e-zine to others.”
If you would like to receive the e-zine, e-mail your name, company name, address and postcode to enterprise@westlothian.gov.uk or phone Andrew Cotton on 01506 777911.
A short two-page, hard copy summary can also be circulated by mail for interested parties who don’t have an e-mail address.
