Labour hold on to Linlithgow and Falkirk East

THE Labour Party also held on to the Linlithgow and Falkirk East seat with 47.7 per cent of the votes and increased the majority from the last General Election by 3,513, taking 25,634 votes.

Behind them again was the SNP, taking 23.5 per cent, or 13,081 votes.

Voter turnout for the Linlithgow and Falkirk East constituency was 51,450 on Thursday, up from 46,389 at the General Election in 2005 and 63.6 per cent of the area’s population.
