A PENSIONER pooch is looking for a new home to live out his twilight years.
Sandy is a 12-year-old crossbreed, currently staying at Dogs Trust, West Calder, but he hopes to find a new home soon.
He is a very friendly dog who loves people, is loyal, very affectionate, happy home alone, house-trained and good with cats.
However, Sandy is very protective of the house and garden and needs to be kept away from the front door and from strangers visiting the home and so wouldn’t suit a home with children.
He is not keen on other dogs, but loves his walks and is never happier than when carrying his toys.
Susan Tonner, rehoming centre manager, said: “Sandy is an old dog who is looking for a quiet home where he can relax and enjoy his later years. He would be such a loyal companion.”
Dogs Trust will continue to pay Sandy’s vet bills for the rest of his life.
Sandy is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and comes with insurance and free behavioural advice.
If you can offer Sandy or any of the other 60 dogs a home, please contact the centre direct on 01506 873459.
All dogs detailed may have had several homes and their history refers to none specifically.
Dogs Trust always have good homes for puppies. If you need help with a litter please call the centre.
