Howden Park Centre unveils new prgramme

A PACKED programme of arts and entertainment has just been unveiled at Howden Park Centre in Livingston.

The centre’s new brochure features the classical ballet ‘Giselle’ on the cover and details a great theatre programme taking in everything from a selection of four-star shows from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to ‘Rudolf’, the gentle, magical children’s show for Christmas; a great mix of music, including the return of the hugely popular Skerryvore, and a concert by the Fine Arts Brass, supported by West Lothian Schools Brass Band; a broad new dance programme that takes in a new dance event for children as young as six months right through to the monthly Friday tea dances.

Everyone is invited to see behind the scenes on September 5 when Howden Park Centre takes part in West Lothian’s Doors Open Day.

Families can also enjoy a free day of fearsome fun for Hallowe’en. The huge range of dance, music and visual arts workshops and classes for adults and children continues.

The brochure also covers the festive season and, with Christmas shows for children (including a two-day visit by the Singing Kettle), a spectacular Abba tribute concert, Christmas Party Nights dancing to local band Funktion Sweet and ceilidh parties at New Year, Howden Park Centre has the festive season all wrapped up.

Bistro head chef Scott Kirkham’s mouth-watering Christmas lunches and dinners will be available from December 1.

The three-course Christmas set lunch is £17, Christmas dinners are £25 and the Christmas party nights also begin with a scrumptious three-course meal.

Details of these arts performances and activities and many more are in the new Howden Park Centre brochure available now from community venues across West Lothian and on the website at www.howdenparkcentre.co.uk
