Holly
ANIMAL welfare experts are appealing for a new home in the county for an aptly-named dog.
Holly is a two-year-old female Staffie cross currently being cared for by staff at the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in West Calder, Livingston.
Holly has a very sweet nature and a playful personality.
She is active, super-intelligent girl who loves to play all day long.
Holly simply loves squeaky toys and carrying them around with her and playing games with her owners.
Holly, however, can be wary of new people, in particular men and is looking for an experienced owner to build her confidence.
But once she knows you she is very affectionate, loving and friendly and loves getting her belly tickled and being scratched behind the ears.
Holly loves being with people and finds it difficult to be on her own so she is looking for a home where somebody will be at home with her for most of the day.
She tends to guard the house and garden and sometimes acts defensively when people approach.
New owners would have to take introductions slowly with new people and take precautions when unknown people maybe coming into contact with her.
It would also be best for Holly to be the only dog in the home.
If you can offer Jake or any of the other 60 dogs a home, please contact the centre direct on 01506 873459.
All dogs detailed may have had several homes and their history refers to none specifically.
Dogs Trust always have good homes for puppies. If you need help with a litter please call the centre.
