A SUMMER of entertainment is on the cards at Howden Park Centre in Livingston.
The centre’s new programme features a mix of music, theatre, dance and visual arts.
There is a new ticket offer for full time students of just £6 for a whole mix of shows and West Lothian’s phenomenal artistic talent is celebrated under the banner of “Homegrown” with concerts by singer Adriana Spina, folk band RURA, Angela Musk and her band, plus “The Garden” an outdoor play performed by West Lothian’s own Peapod Productions in the walled garden behind Howden House.
The main music programme includes the return of the hugely popular Skerryvore and American country sensations The Wilders, a tribute to Elvis, and a rare concert by Dougie McLean.
The theatre programme majors on comedy with “One Man Star Wars Trilogy” and “The King of Scotland” with Jonathan Watson.
Younger audiences will be thrilled by “The Presents” and “Caged” a new version of Beauty and the Beast by the award-winning Catherine Wheels Theatre Company.
Summer Arts takes in everything from creating comics to Glee week, from the Singing Kettle to the first ever West Lothian’s Got to Dance Competition.
Details of these arts performances and activities and many more are in the new Howden Park Centre brochure available now from community venues across West Lothian and on the website at www.howdenparkcentre.co.uk
