TWO West Lothian soccer stars are set to show off their skills across the border after details emerged of a planned trip to Newcastle.
Ace county midfielders Jack Kelly and David Mackay switched to Syngenta Juveniles 1998s recently and have quickly made themselves at home with the Grangemouth side.
And with the team preparing for a top-class spell on Tyneside the youngsters will have a further chance to impress.
The team will get the chance to follow in the bootprints of players like Michael Owen and Nicky Butt as they play on the Magpies’ training ground.
If that wasn’t enough the aspiring stars will get the chance to gauge the standard they need to reach to play at the top level when they take in the Newcastle against Liverpool Premiership clash.
The West Lothian youngsters have already enjoyed success across the border with their new club after they took part in a tournament hosted by Blackburn Rovers in which they beat the hosts in the final.
