Fishing: Anglers set to cast for prizes

WEST Calders, Allandale Tarn Fisheries 'A Guid' New Year', competition has been postponed until January 17 due to the ice.

But anglers can still compete in a free casting competition this Saturday before a heavy basket competition later in the day courtesy of Sonic Sports with prizes for the winners.

West Lothian’s Allandale Tarn is the first Scottish venue chosen to host this event and all are welcome to come along and test out the latest fishing gear from Sonic and showcase their casting distance prowess.
