Swimming: Youngsters make a splash at Whitburn Pool

COUNTY kids made a real splash at the recent Lothian and District Dolphins Gala with a wave of medals and certificates being dished out.

The Gala took place at Whitburn Pool and a phenomenal 37 personal bests were set on the fun-filled day.

George Hossack excellent performance earned a first for 50m Breaststroke, Sam Mallace achieved two second places for 25m fly and 50m freestyle while Emma Ruddy scored a third place for her 50m breast stroke.

All those taking part were congratulated for their efforts.

There are still spaces available in the club’s development squad and would suit competent swimmers aged eight years and over who are interested in joining and improving their swimming skills.
