And later in the month two other gymnasts were back on the mat when they travelled to Perth to sit their grade 14.

Happily both Dana Russell, 8, and Ellis McFarlane, 8, passed through with high scores.

Dana is a member of the Scottish Squad and Ellis will trial for the squad at the end of the year along with a few of the other girls in the club.

Deans Gymnastics Club moved premises to Bankton Primary, Dedridge in October last year but have been struggling somewhat for the first six months in their new home with little proper equipment to hand.

But the club is now fully operational and the girls have performed brilliantly to get to such a high standard.

Spaces are available for children aged four years and above. Anyone interested should contact deansgc@hotmail.com
