Academy plays host to the Scottish Schools Triathlon

BROXBURN Academy hosted the Scottish Schools Triathlon just before the summer break.

Around 400 pupils from 24 schools in West Lothian attended the event, which aims to give youngsters an introduction to triathlons.

The kids, aged between nine and 12, went for a short swim, cycle and run to give them a taste of the sport.

It is the third year in a row that the event has been staged, in conjunction with Triathlon Scotland and West Lothian Council, and organisers hope it returns again next year.
