Wrestling: Muzlem stuns foursome to be king of Worlds

MUZLEM is back on top of the SSW mountain after the fans favourite overcame four other opponents to reclaim the Worlds Title at an epic Showdown.

The Scottish School of Wrestling brought it’s latest supercard to Bathgate Scout Hall last Saturday but Muzlem wasn’t expected to even be in the mix for the main event.

At the top of the bill champion Ben N Jeremi was putting his belt on the line against four other opponents in a five-man showdown event where the winner would take the coveted strap.

Jeremi, previously a fans’ favourite, had stunned the crowd and the locker room by turning on his brother Ron and giving his elder sibling a beating in the ring.

Showcasing a new cocky and brash attitude Ben N Jeremi went into the main event in confident mood but was stunned to see a limping Muzlem come through the curtain and into the ring as part of the title match.

To the fans’ delight Muzlem out-scrapped and wrestled the other four competitors to clinch a fifth SSW Worlds Title reign.

After the match the thrilled wrestler said: “My family support me and it is amazing to be champ again.

“Like them and everyone else I know this may be my last run as SSW champion and so we all just want to enjoy it and see how far it can go before my shoulder [injury] prevents me from wrestling.

“I would just like to say thanks again to the SSW fans – and you can catch my first title defence at Tainted Tradition.”

Muzlem had earlier been in action on the Showdown bill when he gained revenge for a brutal attack from Kevin Brudaker by picking up a win.
