Livingston sides all ready to roll

LIVINGSTON Rugby Club are looking forward to a vibrant start to the new season as the league seasons for the under-18, second and first XV all kick off at Almond Park this Saturday.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of rugby facilities in the town the under-18s will have to kick off against their Portobello counterparts at midday to ensure that all three teams can fulfil their league fixtures.

The Second XV also entertain a team from Portobello whilst the First XV take on the men from Langholm. Both fixtures kick off at 3pm and everyone is welcome to come along and cheer on all the Livingston teams.

There is a meeting in the players lounge at 2pm to establish an over-35s team structure within the club too.

The golden oldies rugby circuit in Scotland is becoming more organised and Livingston are keen to invite newcomers and existing players to the informal meeting.

With the formation of the Golden Oldies team Livingston Rugby Football Club now runs 13 teams each weekend and offers rugby to players from age four through to 40 and above.
