Tainted Tradition set to be a cracker as SSW prepare for Academy date

WHITBURN ACADEMY is set to be rocked to it’s very foundations this weekend when West Lothian’s own Scottish School of Wrestling (SSW) hosts Tainted Tradition on Saturday night.

The card for the weekend’s show is dripping with top ring talent and could be the biggest show in the history of the SSW with several titles on the line.

At the top of the bill is a gruelling 10-man elimination rumble for the SPWO UK Title.

The main event sees the UK Kid put his title on the line in a bout where the odds are stacked against him. The champ takes on nine other wrestling stars in one match.

Just two men start the rumble but at three-minute intervals another grappler hits the ring until all 10 men have entered.

Elimination occurs by pinfall, submission or by being thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor.

This bout is also a no disqualification affair meaning the use of tables, ladders and chairs is legal.

Confirmed among the challengers for the SPWO UK Title are Kevin Brudaker and wrestling superstar the Vigilante Johnny Moss.

The SSW World Title is also up for grabs when popular champion the Muzlem steps between the ropes with Corporal Punishment.

The record books already show a win over the champ by the challenger after a knockout with a spanner concealed in an elbow pad.

But the Muzlem is determined to show lightning never strikes twice as he vows to avenge the defeat.

Other gold on the line will be the tag-team titles and reigning gold holders Matt Star and Ken Adams face the challenge of The Heritage.

Their opponents are making their SSW debuts after arriving from the English wrestling ranks and are hoping to avoid the fate of Legend and Damage Inc in falling to defeat at the hands of the exciting Starr and Adams.

A family is also set to go to war on Saturday night when brother takes on brother in the middle of the squared circle.

The fans were stunned when Ben N Jeremi turned on his elder sibling Ron Jeremi earlier this year making a match-up inevitable.

They had been close until Ben attacked his brother and Ron has vowed to teach him a lesson at Tainted Tradition on Saturday.

He said: “I have fought a lot of guys in my time including my brother Tom, however this wasn't something that I imagined happening with Ben.

“He had everything he needed but he let it all slide for nothing more than a bad attitude and at Whitburn Academy I will put him back in line.”

However the match itself may yet not go ahead as Ben hasn’t officially put pen to paper on the contract agreeing to the fight.

He will have the chance to sign the contract in the ring on the net but will he do that or is he too afraid to step between the ropes with his brother?

Elsewhere on the card, two of the best wrestlers in not only Scotland but the UK face of in what should be an technical extravaganza.

Kid Fite and BT Gunn are both highly rated and the pair could steal the show with their display in the ring.

There will be an SSW debut for CJ Hunter as he grapples with Wolfgang – another hotly tipped new star.

Wolfgang will be accompanied as always to the ring by his stunning valet Candi Kiss.

Also scheduled to make an appearance with a special announcement will be tag team Rage and Storm while Darkside has also promised to make his mark on the show.

Tainted Tradition takes place on Saturday at Whitburn Academy with doors opening at 6.30pm. For Tickets call the box office on 07788594699 or visit Naeem & Sons, 11 George Street Bathgate.
