Wrestling: Meltdown comes to town

WRESTLING fans in West Lothian are being warned to take their seats, fasten their seatbelts and expect a whiteknuckle ride when the SSW brings “Meltdown” to Bathgate Scout Hall.

West Lothian’s own Scottish School of Wrestling are bringing their latest supercard of ring action on Saturday, September 26, with a show which promises to be one of the company’s best yet.

Already confirmed to make an appearance between the ropes at the show is Livingston wrestler Scot “The Butcher” Renwick.

He was featured in the Courier two weeks ago and has a title match of his own in Glasgow this weekend so he could be a champion by the time Meltdown comes to Bathgate.

Renwick will be in action between the ropes where he will be taking on SSW fans’ favourite Ron Jeremi.

It promises to be an epic battle between the two and Renwick goes in to the bout on a wave of controversy after he ended a recent appearance on ITV’s The Hour Show by picking up and slamming presenter Stephen Jardine.

Andy Wild will also be making an SSW return but this time he will be accompanied by hugely acclaimed manager Charles Boddington.

English ring veteran Boddington has earned a reputation for guiding young talent to the top after two of his proteges, Drew McIntyre and Sheaumus, were signed by Vince McMahon’s WWE and are now starring on Smackdown across the world.

As always the regular band of SSW stars will also be taking to the ring for your viewing pleasure, including current SSW Worlds Champion Muzlem, Tag Team Champions Team Starr, Wolfgang – accompanied by the stunning Candi Kiss – Commissioner Dark Angel and the new SPWO UK Champion BT Gunn.

And as if that wasn’t enough to whet the appetite of grapple fans, also scheduled to appear are CJ Hunter, William Grange, Jason Rotanda, Chris Rampage, Logan Storm,

The Highlander, Kevin Brudaker, GI Joe, Noam Dar and more to be confirmed.

Tickets are available at the door or you can pre-book via the box office on 07788594699.

Doors open at 6.30pm with the first bell due at 7pm.
