SEPTEMBER’S fishing at Bangour Trout Fishery brought plenty of success for local anglers.
Amongst the best fish were a 17lb 8oz rainbow trout landed by Uphall angler David McNeillie, caught on a blob; a 14lb 12oz blue caught by Irvine angler Graeme Ferguson on a damsel and a 14lb 8oz blue caught by Dumbarton angler Jason McGhee on a buzzer. Peter Jones of Edinburgh (pictured above) also weighed in with a great catch, an impressive 14lb rainbow.
The big fish board showed 41 fish between 5lb and 17lb 8oz with an average weight of 3lb 7oz.
Evening sessions have now stopped and the fishery is back to winter hours of 9am until 5pm.
