IT has been another incredible year for athletes at West Lothian Triathlon.
Despite being only three years old, WLT came through the tape in eighth place in the Triathlon Scotland standings against clubs with a far greater number of athletes on their books.
WLT can boast a first, second and fifth placed finish in the sprint series in Ian Logan (Linlithgow), Andrew Fish (Uphall St) and veteran Frank Boyne (Kirkliston).
In the standard distance WLT had another two top 10 finishes with a second from Frank Boyne and a ninth from Ian Logan.
In the open water series there was further good news with another two top tens with another first for the impressive Frank Boyne and a third for Andrew Fish.
Two athletes also successfully completed the gruelling Ironman distance this year. Any athlete who completes an Ironman deserves enormous credit.
Ally Morrell completed his second Ironman UK when he competed in Bolton amongst a field of over 1200 people.
Ally finished in a credible 223rd position with a time of 11hrs 45 mins which was an amazing accomplishment.
There was also a first Ironman for Chris Bennie, who headed over to Switzerland and crossed the finishing line in 12hrs and 23 mins.
