Olympic ice skater from Livingston

LIVINGSTON could end up on top of the medal list at this month's Winter Olympics if the town's trio of Olympians have their way.

Ice skating siblings Sinead and John Kerr and teen star Elsie Christie are all eyeing medal glory in Vancouver

The Kerr's credentials are well known with the pair seven time British Champions and previous Winter Olympics experience.

Nineteen-year-old Christie though has exploded onto the scene with a silver medal at the European Championships.

Her mantlepiece in Livingston also boasts a gold medal after she was part of the women's relay team who won gold at the World Championships in 2008.

Elsie is competing over 500m, 1000m and her favoured 1500m.

And at press time Elsie had clinched a place in the 500m quarter finals after finishing in second place in her heat.
