ALLANDALE TARN are to host a fishy fundraiser in April to raise funds for Yorkhill Hospital and Ronald McDonald House in Glasgow.
And local anglers have been urged to take part and cast off to raise much-needed cash for two very worthwhile causes.
The sponsored event has been planned and organised by local angler Tam McGregor and his family who want to raise the cash as a thankyou for the support and care received by their granddaughter.
Information packs and sponsor forms will be available soon from the fishery office soon.
So far Tam has organised prizes for first, second and third place as well as for heaviest fish and for most monies raised by an individual.
There will also be a raffle and of course anglers on the day will be well fed.
Please remember that you don't have to be an angler already to join in the fun as Tam has signed several people up who have never even wet a line.
If you are looking for a little inspiration, Tam suggested you have a look at http://cerysdawne-connor.gonetoosoon.org/memorial or www.ronaldmcdonaldhouse.net
