WEST LOTHIAN martial artist India Isles has taken a massive stride towards her Olympic dream after tasting success in another successful competition.
Teenager Isles, who trains with Scotia TKD, was in competition against karate, kick boxing, mixed martial arts and other TKD groups at a special talent competition.
After successfully passing the last phase, India and coach David Condie will now both travel to Manchester Elite Olympic Taekwondo Academy next weekend where India will train with Team Great Britain Taekwondo squad.
If India is successful then she will face a tough two-week intense boot camp in Korea, the home of Taekwondo.
At the last selections India won her final fight in convincing fashion, winning 35-6 to really impress her watching peers.
Meanwhile, India, who is also part of the Scottish international Taekwondo squad, will be in action for her country nearer home at an international competition which is to be held in Edinburgh next May.
The squad are desperately seeking sponsorship to allow them to compete at the competition.
If anyone in the West Lothian area can help then they should contact David Condie on 01506 630084 for further information.
Anyone interested in taking up TKD can get more information by calling the same number.
