Dario Franchitti crosses line in 12th at disappointign Long Beach outing

DARIO FRANCHITTI dropped two places to fifth in the IndyCar drivers standings following a 12th-place finish in the Toyota Grand Prix at Long Beach.

The West Lothian speedster (pictured in action) started 12th on the grid and ran consistently in the top 10 but ultimately crossed the line in 12th place.

Dario said: “It was a disastrous weekend for us, not what we expected at all. We got as high as 10th but we struggled all day in the target car.

“We had some troubles getting around Alex Lloyd there at the end for some reason.”
