THE Scottish School of Wrestling has joined forces with a local community business to create a formidable tag-team to help raise funds.
The joint partnership between West Lothian’s wrestling stars and Kidzeco will give wrestling fans the chance to see an exclusive SSW show for the amazingly low price of £5.
Wrestling fans can make donations on the night while Kidzeco will also have items for sale on the night.
Kidzeco is a not for profit community interest company that sells recycled children's toys, clothes and other items from its shop in Bathgate town centre.
SSW favourite Ron Jeremi said: “I think this is a great way to help the community and show people what a positive force pro-wrestling can be,” he said.
“I believe Kidzeco is a great idea not only to help young and possibly struggling families in these tough economic times, but also helping the environment by recycling good quality toys and clothing.”
Tickets for the wrestling show are available at the charity’s office in on King Street in Bathgate.
Meanwhile, the SSW have lined up a supercard of jaw-dropping quality for tomorrow night’s show.
Collision is coming to St Mary’s Primary School in Bathgate tomorrow (Friday) night, with doors opening at 6.30pm.
Already confirmed for the show are two special German guest grapplers, Bad Bones and Karnage, and English diva Jetta, who will be competing for the SSW Diamonds title.
Current SSW Worlds Champion Wolfgang will put his belt on the line against the massive Bad Bones in what will be a bruising main event.
Recently crowned Diamonds champ Nikkie Storm will also face a newcomer in Jetta.
And crowd favourite Muzlem will again risk his reputation and his body in a no rules, hardcore match. His opponent in this must-see battle is GI Joe.
Ken Adam is up against Andy Wild and BT Gunn will defend his SPWO UK title for the first time in 2010 against high-flying sensation Steven Xavier.
The women wrestlers will also be getting their piece of the action as Vyper, Kay Lee Ray, Carmel, Sara and Shelly Star all do battle in a five-way gauntlet match.
Karnage has vowed to make Kid Fite suffer in thier match and Kevin Brudaker will announce his opponent of choice after winning last month’s wildcard Battle Royal. So far Brudaker has refused to let slip who he has an eye on but he has revealed it is one of the top wrestlers in Europe and a man who has competed across the globe.
The 2010 King of the Bing winner Falcon will bring his money in a briefcase to the show as the contents guarantee him a shot at any title anywhere at anytime.
With three different titles being defended on the night, this will lead to an interesting night for SSW’s bird of prey.
Finally there will be a wildcard Battle Royal with the winner able to choose his opponent at the next show under wildcard rules.
Wrestling fans across West Lothian and beyond are being urged to snap up their tickets for the show tomorrow night and see another slice of stunning wrestling action.
Wrestlers will be available for photos and autographs at the end of the show.
Kidzeco will be accepting donations of children’s toys, clothes, prams, books, buggies, nursery furniture and accessories. There will also be handmade gifts for sale.
