WEST Lothian County Cricket Association’s sides were each on duty this week but unfortunately only one of three enjoyed a win.
The first to take to the field were the West Lothian County First XI who travelled to Edinburgh to play Stewart's/Melville/Royal High in the SNCL Division Two.
SMRH won the toss and asked County to bat first. County batted for 50 overs and scored 130 all out, with David Drylie 38 not out, Grant Raven 25 and Andy Raven 21, R. Hannam 3 for 17 and V. Shah 3 for 21.
After tea SMRH batted scoring 131 for 2, with G. Bissett 53 not out, A. Davidson 26, Young Gregor Thomson on his first XI debut bowled five overs, 0 maidens, 1 wicket for 11 runs.
SMRH won the match by eight wickets and collect 10 points.
Elsewhere, the County Second XI hosted Livingston’s First XI at Boghall in the East League Division Three.
County batted first and scored 207 for 8 in 50 overs, with Alan Williamson 70 not out, Mattie Norris 51 and young Alistair Napoli 22, N. Asghar 2 for 40 and M. Collins 2 for 40.
After tea Livingston batted and scored 209 for 3 in 46 overs, with K. Khalid 94 not out, N. Asghar 32 and L. Singh 27, and Bruce Kilpatrick 2 for 34.
Livingston won the match by seven wickets and receive 20 points, with County getting eight bonus points.
Finally, the County Third XI travelled up to Fauldhouse to play Fauldhouse’s Second XI at Eastfield Park in the East League Division Seven.
Fauldhouse batted first, scoring 115 all out in 31 overs, with S. Connell 36, Andrew Newman 4 for 21 and Jake Percival 3 for 37.
After tea County batted scoring 116 for 7 in 289 overs, with Stephen Kynoch 23, Jonathan Miller 16, Pat Bennie 14, Jamie Smith 12 and David Brown 12 not out.
County won the match by three wickets and collect 20 points for their fourth league win of the season.
Fauldhouse receive seven bonus points.
On Sunday afternoon the County Sunday XI hosted a Biggar Friendly XI at Boghall in a friendly match.
They batted first and scored 127 all out in 35 overs, with Fahad Ahmed 41 not out and Kevin Smith 25, Q. Adams 2 for 16.
After tea Biggar batted and scored 111 all out in 32 overs, with Y. Savage 27. Terry Vorster 2 for 3 and David Brown 2 for 18. County Sunday XI won the match by 16 runs.
