THE spell of wet weather put the skids on all of West Lothian County Cricket Club’s fixtures once again — but the junior sides did manage to squeeze in a few matches in between the showers.
The West Lothian Under-13 Junior XI hosted Heriots U-13 Junior XI at Boghall in the Lothian U-13 Junior League match but lost by 27 runs.
On Monday evening the U-13s were back at the wicket for the trip to play Carlton U-13 Junior XI at Inch Park.
Unfortunately, Carlton won by three runs in a match which West Lothian lost after having four batsmen run out.
Last Thursday evening the West Lothian U-15 Junior XI hosted Heriots U’15 Junior XI at Boghall in the Lothian U-15 League.
Heriots batted first scoring 103 for eight in 20 overs, with C Acheson 32, R Smith 21, A Bennett 13 and A Iqbal 12 not out. Michael Miller three for 11, Rory Thomson two for 12 and John Strachan two for 16.
West Lothian then batted scoring 105 for three in 14 overs, with Michael Miller 71 not out, Jonty Small 22 and Fraser Sneddon three not out.
A Anderson one for 11 and R Smith one for 22.
