New personal best for Lothian athlete at Edinburgh Parkrun

LOTHIAN Running Club’s Chloe Cox beat her personal best for the second time to become the female winner of the Edinburgh Parkrun.

Chloe, who was seventh in the overall classification, was the club’s only representative in the field of 195 runners and covered the 5k course along the Edinburgh waterfront in 18m23s, shaving a second of her PB.

Meanwhile, Nicola Kellock was the club’s only runner at Saturday’s Airth Highland Games, and was among the prizes with a third place in the Youth’s 1600m Handicap.

Nicola also contested the 90m Handicap but was eliminated in her heat.

Ally Robertson recorded a PB in the second Falkirk Parkrun at Callander Park on Saturday.

Ally, who was the club’s only runner in the race, bettered his time from the inaugural race seven days previously by 14 seconds to cross the finish line in 18 minutes 27 seconds, which placed him fifth overall and first junior.
