CLUBS from across West Lothian hit Bathgate for a sporting summit which was held at the town’s Regal Theatre.
Judo, sailing, football and skiing were just some of the wide range of sports represented at the event which was staged as a joint venture by West Lothian’s Sports Council and the Local Authority.
And with up to 50 people attending the networking evening, sports council chairman Fiona Fyfe reckons the evening was a big success.
She said: “We are very pleased with how the whole evening went.
“We had lots of different groups here and from the feedback we have received, they seem to feel they have benefited from the event.”
The early part of the event focused on networking while the later stages concentrated on how clubs can access funding and make themselves more sustainable.
The networking evening, which was held last Wednesday night, was the first of its kind and is expected to be repeated next year.
