Rugby summer camp
LIVINGSTON Rugby Club opened their doors this week to the next generation of possible top-team stars with a special ‘fun week’.
Between Monday and Friday, the club welcomed dozens of interested youngsters to Almond Park as part of the summer fun.
Livingston Rugby Club development officer Pete Beirne insisted the club have been thrilled with how the week has gone.
He said: “We have been hosting fun days each day between 10am and 3.30pm and we’ve had good numbers.
“The whole week has been fun-based, with passing exercises and practising tackling techniques with a few games of touch rugby.
“Hopefully, at the end of it, we might have a few who find they like the sport and would like to join the club.
“We would love the club to increase its participation in the community.”
Around 30 boys aged between eight and 16 were regularly attending the fun days.
