Mark safe in Livingston manager's seat

LIVINGSTON have confirmed popular management duo Mark Proctor and Curtis Fleming will remain in charge of the club next season.

Speculation has been rife that Proctor would be replaced at the end of the season after Irishman Roddy Collins and ex-Celtic duo John Hartson and Jackie McNamara were all linked with the post.

But the club’s board have this week insisted there will be no changes in the management team.

“It’s great news,” admitted Proctor.

“The Irish investment isn’t happening now and I think if it had gone through then maybe my position wouldn’t have been so safe.

“But I’m delighted to get the chance to continue to manage Livingston and take the club forward into the new season.”

Livi chairman Pearse Flynn admitted the fans’ public backing of Proctor – which was made very clear at the weekend fixture with St Johnstone – convinced him to keep him in his post.

“We love Curtis and Mark as do the fans,” he said.

“And now we’ve shown that we listen to the fans’ input so hopefully they will now get behind us and renew their season tickets so we can prepare a budget for next season.”
