LIVINGSTON have welcomed CIS Cup-winning boss Davie Hay back to the club in a consultancy role.
Hay, whose son-in-law, Tomasso Angelini, is part of the consortium who bought the club from Pearse Flynn, admits he is thrilled to back at Almondvale.
Hay said: “The role I will undertake has still to be defined but it will be based more on a consultancy aspect rather than directly on football matters.
“I am looking forward to the challenge and I wouldn’t say it will be on a part-time role as it will be something that will evolve over time.”
The former Celtic manager was officially confirmed in his new role earlier this week.
Meanwhile, new club chairman Angelo Massone has revealed the club are on the verge of having their year-long ban on signing new players lifted.
The Scottish Football League imposed a transfer embargo on the Lions pending a settlement with former player Manu Dorado, who was sacked after refusing a pay cut.
Massone said: “We have now sent payments to Mr Dorado as required by the SFL and we do not expect any further issues.”
