LIVINGSTON'S promotion hopes suffered another setback after going down to Partick Thistle at Firhill.

Despite a spirited performance, the visitors couldn't overcome the on-form Jags who took an early lead through former Celtic striker Simon Donnelly.

Dave Mackay did manage to equalise from the penalty spot but Thistle's eventual winner came just two minutes before the half-time break when Stephen McKeown broke through the Livingston defence.
