Elliot faces uncertain future but admits he would love to extend his loan deal at Almondvale

CALLUM Elliot has scored nine goals since his loan switch to West Lothian and become the darling in the eyes of the Livingston fans.

But Saturday could be the 21-year-olds final Almondvale appearance with his short term deal due to run in a little over two weeks when the bells chime for the New Year.

Elliot is facing an uncertain future with rumours parent club Hearts are keen to offload him when his contract is up in the summer.

And he admits he is unsure where he will be playing at the end of next transfer window but he is refusing to rule out extending his stay in West Lothian.

“To be honest I really don’t know what’s happening and I’m just going to wait and see,” said Elliot.

“I’m obviously looking at all my options and over the next week I’ll decided what the best thing would be for me.

“I’ve loved my time at Livingston where I’ve met some great people and great players.

“Everyone has been brilliant with me and I’m very grateful at getting the chance to get my career back on track here.

“Hopefully I can continue to do well for them until the end of my loan deal and I can get a few more goals.

“I wouldn’t rule out staying here until the end of the season.

“However, for now I’m playing it by ear and I’ll weigh everything in the next few weeks.

“Hearts haven’t really said anything to me and I’m going to have to try and arrange a meeting with them to see what their intentions are.”

Elliot’s Livingston career got off to the perfect start with a debut goal followed by a brace on his next appearance and he hasn’t looked back.

He boasts an average close to a goal a game and both he and the returning Leigh Griffiths both netted at the weekend.

It was the first time the two had started together sparking hopes that the seeds of a fruitful partnership were born in Dingwall.

And Elliot agrees that he thinks that with Sparky next to him they could score the goals which could fire Livi to the SPL.

He said: “It was good to start alongside Leigh and we both scored so that was excellent.

“I’m sure we could do even better once we got used to the way each other plays the game and hopefully we can get another few games together under our belt.

“We had a great result on Saturday and it was good to get back to winning after the last few weeks.

“Since the new manager has come in the place is buzzing and we are all looking forward to our next game.”

FUTURE PLANS: Elliot’s loan deal is up at the end of the month and he admits he doesn’t know where he will be playing after the New Year.
