Kind Livi players share out spirit of Christmas

THE top-team stars of Livingston FC brought festive cheer and armfuls of presents to the youngsters in the children's ward of St John’s Hospital this week.

Some of the patients were treated to an afternoon of pictures and autographs and were able to ask their favourite players questions about life as a First Division football star.

Supermarket firm Morrisons kindly donated a host of gifts including selection boxes, colouring books and jigsaws which the players handed out to some of their youngest fans.

Everyone involved with the club would like to thank Morrisons for their kind donation.

The visit of the Lions, which included club captain James McPake and manager Paul Hegarty, brought big smiles to the faces of the children in the ward just two nights before Santa is due to visit.

The players helped make this Christmas a little more special for the youngsters but the footballers admitted what they will be asking Santa for is three points away to Dunfermline this weekend.
