Livingston 1 Clyde 1

DAVID WINTERS was both the hero and villain in the weekend’s game against Clyde as Livingston had to settle for a draw.

On his debut, Winters scored his debut goal for the Lions after 31 minutes when he linked up with Leigh Griffiths to open the scoring.

But just nine minutes later Clyde struck back with a shock equaliser.

Alan Trouten picked up on a stray pass from Winters at the halfway line, setting up McLaren for the Bully Wee’s first goal.

The possibility of three points spurred both sides on in the second half as they came out blazing looking for the win.

Clyde’s Ricky Waddell came close with an close range effort going wide and a 30-yard effort from Livi’s Murray Davidson was tipped over by Hutton.

Leigh Griffiths, Pat Clarke and Roddy McKenzie all saw efforts come close, but at the end of 90 minutes both sides had to settle for a share of the spoils.
